Ouija Board???? why are pople so scared of them? What are your thoughts, toy or link to the dead?

I don't get why people are so scared of ouija boards. Growing up my mom would not allow one in the house. I hear all the time that they are something not to be messedn with, but I don't understand how something made by Parker bros ( or whatever toy company makes it) can be so feared. Has anyone had any terrible experiences with it or have some links to why it SHOULDN'T be used. I'm interested haha

A ouija board killed my dog and molested my houseplant. That is why people are afraid of them. It has nothing to do with the metaphysical.

Superstition and paranoia mostly; however, even in occult circles they are considered to be dangerous not so much the board but the user of the board. To put this into scientific terms let create a hypothetical device its name is not important so much as its function. In the hands of a properly trained person it is a useful tool that can bennefit mankind in ways that he could have only imagined before. But in the hands of a person who has never been trained it turn out to be a living nightmare be cause they don't know how to control it. So because of one persons ignorance others must suffer for it. Hypothetically of course.



Parker Brothers marketing the Ouija as a game is a misnomer, a game implies a contest of somekind where there is a winner and a loser and that win or lose is measured in some fashon. The Ouija there is no winner or loser because there is no method to measure such an event. How the Ouija board works is a matter of speculation, a skeptic will explain it in terms of science or psycology, a believer will say that it is a spirit communicating from beyond, and a Christian would say that it is a tool of the Devil. But however it truely works one cannot know for sure. If the skeptic's explanation is true then the Ouija is harmless and insugnificant to the point of being pointless to ague about. If on the other hand the believer's explanation is true then one must be prared to accept the possibility of the existence of God and the Devil, good and evil, and because of this the Christian explanation must be considered as a possibility. If either of the two later explanations are true then our hypothetical device then becomes reality.

Ouija Board opens the non-Physical world ( ghosts ,angels ,demons etc..) and CAN let anything enter the Physical world , a demon can possess you and harm you and your family .

Can the Ouija Board harm/kill someone?



The spirit from the board cannot harm or kill you directly. In other words, it cannot hit you with a hammer or throw you across a room. No, it is more subtle kind of harm. If you spend enough time with the board and spirit communication, your emotions, mind and body will become affected. Depression and suicidal thoughts can be a symptom of "spirit communication" or "spirit chasing."

No, you have not given the spirit permission to communicate with you. The spirit can hover around you making you aware of it's presence.

Is There A Nice Way of Playing It?



I do not believe there is a nice way of playing the board. If you contact a spirit, it may seem nice at first, but it lies. You have no way of knowing what spirit you contact. It picks you, you do pick the spirit.

Can You Get In Touch With Good as Well as Bad Spirits?



My personal experience indicates that the spirits contacted through the board are evil spirits. They might pretend to be good. Eventually, their true personality shows if you spend enough time with it.

If You Finish the Game Do the Spirits Go or Do they Stay?



You would be very lucky if the spirit would go after you summon it. Some will go at first. The more time you spend on the board, the more chance the spirit will stay.

Why Is It That Only Certain People Can Successfully Work the Board?



Some people have natural spiritual sensitivity. Just like your eye color or personality--spiritual sensitivity a natural part of some people. It is easier for those people to contact the spirits.

I never used one before, but here's my 3 cents on this: It could be because something tragic happened around the same time the ouija board was first used which just happens to be coincidence. Everything that happens has to have a logical explaination behind it. I don't think that there can be a direct correlation between the ouija board and the horror stories that take place. So because of these bizarre incidents that happened around the same time it was used, I guess everyone just automatically started to blame the board. They just went on and on and some people will believe anything. As a result, a self fulfilling prophecy is created, so that is, if a person uses a ouija board and already believes something bad will happen, then therefore, it will happen. It's the universe's law of attraction: What you think about becomes bigger. So, I don't think it has anything to do with the ouija board, but more with someone's way of negative thinking, which is a more logical explaination for the "wierd" things that happen. I tend to be a huge skeptic and try to see a scientific or psychological reason as to why things happen. The things regarding demons, ghosts, contacting the dead, etc, all seem to bee bogus and a bunch of bull****, sorry to say. Don't count on the hokus pokus too much.

A woman in my area has said that her and some friends were messing around with a ouija board when they were teenagers. They had contact with a "spirit". They had like a nickname for him and stuff. One of the friends died by a car crash, and somehow all the girls got spooked. Years later, at a high school reunion picnic thing this woman brought her son who had had an imaginary friend, but when she asked what the name of his imaginary friend was, he'd never answer. Day of the picnic, the boy tells his mother in front of all the friends that (whatever the "spirit's" name was) said hi.



Now I don't know this woman. Her story was on the radio around Halloween (2007). But I thought you might be interested anyway.



I know my mom doesn't like that my sister has a ouija board up in her closet, and I've always felt uneasy in that room for some reason. Even before I found the ouija board.

I don't think it's the toy itself, I think it's what the function is. Sometimes people mess around on them thinking they're just having a good time, and they can let something in. Sometimes people are trying to let something in, and they're just having a good time. See what I mean? I don't think that ouijas will let someething happen every time, but every legend has a basis in fact, so it's up to the user to deem whether or not they want to take the chance.

I see you'e got alot of advice but if you were a christian and a strong one at that you should have known that you were tempting the Lord and he says in Deuteronomy 18:10-12King James Version (KJV) 10 There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch. 11 Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. 12 For all that do these things are an abomination unto the Lord: and because of these abominations the Lord thy God doth drive them out from before thee. King James Version (KJV) This means anything or any person that tries to contact the dead. Stay away from them and your friends house. Be careful and always speak with angry power and authority in Jesus name I command to leave my house, you have no authority here. I speak peace in this house and ask the angels who serve God to protect me right now. Remember if someone was trying to break into your house and hurt your mom you would be angry screaming and fighting and thats how you have to speak to the demon with that kind of authority.

There's a lot out there we don't have clear knowledge of, but one thing everyone should know and believe is that there is a spiritual realm, and half of it is evil. Ouija boards, in innocent hands, can create means for evil to enter Earth. Good spirits/souls won't have anything to do with talking on/through a Ouija board--they prefer prayer. Yes I believe if you aren't careful they are dangerous. I will get thumbs down because so many people think it is dumb to think this but I have had things with it. After my sisters and I and some friends played with it (without telling my mom because she also does not allow them in her home to this day) and the next day my mom started seeing a dark figure in her window and when she seen it our dryer would go on downstairs. My mom would go downstairs to turn it off, but it was never on. My mom thought she was just going crazy and tried to ignore it. But then things started to smash. My dad a long long time ago made his own beer and all the bottles smashed one night and woke us all up. We went downstairs to a huge glass mess. Then my mom and my dad went away and we stayed at a family members home and my aunt stayed at my house. She ended up calling my mother telling her that she didn't want to scare my mom but she had been seeing a dark figure and the dryer sounded like it was on but it really wasn't. My mom was extremely scared knowing she hadn't told anyone and that it was really happening. She had the house blessed after that and it stopped happening. Many things have happened since but that dark figure that was starting to get violent left. No one in my family has ever played the Ouija board in my house again, I've only played it a few times once i was older at some friends house, where more freaky things started to happen. It was nothing like "oh I thought i seen something" or "oh i heard something that could of been the wind but i will think it was a ghost" This stuff really happened and it was stuff that couldn't be explained that more than one person had seen many time. I will get thumbs down for this I know but it is true, you can believe it or not, bu they can be dangerous so please be careful. <3

Because there have been many reports of people who have used them to die, by some freak accident. They have also been tested and i have done test on them that shows when they are being used that strange things happen and it allows evil spirits to come into contact with you. You have no idea who you are talking to, many people say that it is just a toy an that it is a cheap toy, do you think Satan would make a toy expensive and inaccessible to children, he would not, he would make a toy that is cheap and easily accessible to children, because children can easily be manipulated.
