When I was a kid, I m convinced I used to be more in touch with the paranormal. I had awful nightmares, always screamed at night and would hear a voice saying "Hello? Hello?" near my window when going to bed but no one would be there. It all went away when my father placed a knife under my bed, as it is a tradition to ward away bad spirits.

Just now, I heard my mom say "Helen oi", something she says when to make my younger sister to come over. It sounded like it came from a speaker phone, so I assumed she had just called from work to check up on us and thought nothing of it. Then my younger sister Helen comes rushing up the stairs and says she thinks the house is haunted, as she heard our mom say "Helen oi". No joke, and I hadn t even told her yet. She claims it came from the walls.

Is there any spiritual theories to explain this phenomenon? I ve read answers claiming it s just sleep paralysis, hallucinations, but we both heard it and it s 4 PM. I checked the phones but my mom hadn t even called.

I think it's a replay of your moms words she has spoken in the past, like an imprint. When temperature or frequencies are just right...certain sounds that sound travel can become audible again...that's why it sounded far away

Well, if your mother didn't record her voice, a demon maybe playing tricks on you. Very often it sounds like the voice comes from a speaker phone, or metallic because spirit creatures do that synthetically; they have no fleshly vocal chords.

Do one thing, cancels this page because everything you say is not real! Ok!
