Are there any ghost box hackable radio models made after 2012?

I have bought several radios lately hoping to hack them into ghost boxes,(Radio Shack 12-587, Sangean DT-200X) but they all seem to be the unhackable ribbon type. Finding pre-2012 models is nearly impossible as well. Does any body know of a current radio model that is still hackable?

Yes you can buy the Radio Shack NOAA Weather Radio AM/FM Model 12-589 and convert it very easily. I recommend this one as it has a larger speaker and you can plug it in or use 4 'D' batteries. Best sounding ghost box out there. Watch EBAY, I see them all the time.

As mentioned about the radio shack 12-589 is hackable (kind of a pain in the ***) and is my main box I use for my YouTube channel as it sounds good,doesn't randomly stop sweeping,and gets great results.
