Telepathic relationship?

My boyfriend and I have been together almost a year. We currently (temporarily) live in two different states. We've always been exceptionally close. I've noticed that when he's sick or hurt I know something is wrong before he tells me. He knows when something is wrong with me too. He also knows when I text him, even to the point of it waking him up when he's asleep (he has his notifications turned off so it doesnt go off at work and so he can sleep). I also know he's going to call me before my phone even rings and can answer it before it has even rang a full time.

Is this a telepathic relationship?
Does this mean we are soulmates?

To answer your questions - yes, this is most certainly a telepathic relationship. This is not quite as uncommon as you might think. But this certainly does not mean that you are soulmates - sorry!

It is probably nothing more than power of suggestion. For example, you're going about your business without any thought about how you feel. Then you get a text from your BF saying he's sick. Then you think back and decide, "you know I wasn't feeling that great today...". That kind of subjective validation is easy to do, and you can fool yourself easily with it. It's kind of like a retroactive prediction. After the event happens, your memory of before the event is modified to conform with your belief that you predicted it.



The only way for you to see this for yourself is to do a double-blind test with your BF and a third party to run the experiment. If you did that, you'll find that there is nothing there.

Yes, it seems to be low-level telepathic contact, but that soulmate idea is crap. You may be exceptionally close, but you weren't connected to him throughout all time and/ or space. Two telepathic people can be attracted to each other; drawn by the gift as could a telepath and an empath but there's really nothing more mystical to it than that. Sorry...
