Do I have psychic abilities?

I had a very strange dream one night. It was all in black and white except for my aunt. She was sitting on ha bed and she looked very somber, crying and such. She had a blue aura around her, the only color in the dream. She was looking down at a picture but I didn't see it. The next day my family got a call that my aunts sister had drowned...I think I know who was in that picture now. Also I ALWAYS know when my phone is about to ring or I'm about to get a text. And I sometimes know when the fire alarm is going to go off at my school. It gets really silent in both cases and still and I ind of feel like time almost stops. Other things happen too, but is it possible I have psychic abilities??

Yes we all have these natural psychic abilities within us, you have develop this insight. It seemingly comes unwillingly in dreams and just knowing what's about to happen, intuitive insight.

It's very possible! But sometimes I sense when certain things are gonna happend too, and I'm not psychic! There is a test you can take! Make 25 cards in sets of 5! each set has a different shape! Sqaure, Circle, Triangle, Octogon, Quadeladeral! Flip the cards over and set them up in random order! Make sure they're mixed and you cant see through the cards! Then get a peice of paper and draw which shape you think you're gonna pick up in order! And then start flipping the cards over one by one, and see if they match up! anywhere between 18 and 25, I would say psychic! Do it and let me know what happends in Additional Details!

Of course it is possible you have psychic abilities. Don't listen to those who say there is no "proof" that they exist. Most everyone has at one time or another experienced a "hunch" coming true. That is your conscious mind tuning in to your intuition, sixth sense, or "psychic power". It sounds like you have noticed this ability in yourself and may have an interest in developing it further. There are many free resource sites like the couple below that have a lot of information that can help answer these types of questions. Don't be afraid of these abilities. There are many resources on the internet that you can investigate that will help you understand what you are experiencing more clearly.

There are lots of possibilities, here, and one of the best possibilities is that you're imagining things. In science, they call this "confirmation bias" (worth a Wikipedia read, at least so you know what that means).



But on the other hand, there have been some unpublished studies (and unpublishable due to the politics of science) which seem to indicate that up to 1% of the population could have some kind of psychic ability, such as ESP/clairvoyance, precognition, or psychokinesis. So while my gut says "probably not" in your case, the odds don't completely negate the idea either.



And the scientists aren't going to like this answer, because science really hates it when you bring up the fact that scientific rigor from 150 years ago doesn't hold as much validity as science which was performed, say 40 years ago... and then proceed to show them the research accomplished by the US Department of Defense which clearly shows a positive (and unpublishable) response to psychic phenomena.

No, there's no evidence that psychic abilities actually exist. The dream was most likely a coincidence since we have many dreams every night. If you are like most teenagers you are probably getting dozens of text messages a day so guessing that you are going to get one soon doesn't require much genius.



Next time you think the fire alarm is going to go off make a written record of it, I bet there's lots of times when you guess wrong but then forget about that and only remember the occasions where you guessed correctly.

You do have psychic or intuitive experiences. Imo, you are asking if these are reliable, aka "abilities" that you may rely on.



Generally, most people have occasional psychic experiences, with the more repressed having a lower incidence/recognition of such.

Yes it is possible that you are psychic but many times if the dream is vivid and seems as though you are living it you are getting the information from some sort of spirit so it is hard to tell without further information on your life

Hilary,it's very possible that you do,I would suggest to you that you keep a notebook and write down all of your experiences,we all have a sixth sense and some people are just more sensitive to this.It is possible that you do have some psychic abilities,Tomb Raider.
