This would lead you on the trail to have an paranormal experience, that you would have personal proof, and take a camera so you can back that up with evidence.

I have lead you people to the root time after time to gain personal proof and evidence, but usually you don't take the bait, one you always come up with excuses, two your scare, and I would be too, because I believe, so you must....and if you do deep down, why do you act the way you do? Be honest and confront all your fears and hidden secrets why you want us believers to put in your hand evidence, when I have shown you the way...your thoughts?
Be nice, I am sensitive~

Believers are welcome to help find a way skeptics can find proof, your thoughts?

And thanks everyone!!!

I'm already a believer but I would do it hoping I got a good pic or video. I'd only sleep on a relatives grave cause I know they wouldn't mind.

Maybe the spirits don't hang out there but it would be worth finding out for myself. I used to live by a cemetery & my kids would walk over durring the night all the time. Of course they got scared & came running back, but they were 10 & 12 then. The cemetery was across the field from our house.

I would gladly tell you everything I saw,if anything.

EDIT I see my lovely little trolls have given me thumbs down. Gee that really hurts! LMAO

I wouldn't do that as such an act is disrespectful.

However, I have no fear of cemeteries. Infact I used to regularly go through a 900 year old church yard on my way home from my girlfriends house, that was while I was still living at home with my parents.

Isn't the spirit or soul meant to leave the body after the point of death? If so, then why would a disembodied spirit stay around it's earthly remains?

If I was to look for ghosts, then the last place I would bother with is a grave yard. After all, ghosts are usually claimed to frequent the places where they lived or died. Not many live or die in graveyards.

I have spent the night on a ghost hunt in an 800 year old manor house that is reputed to be haunted, nothing happened.

I have also spent several nights in a pub that was originally a coaching inn that was built around 1705. That was rumoured to be haunted by the ghost of a woman who fell down the cellar stairs and broke her neck.

I never saw anything, neither did the landlord.

I have also been in quite a few other places where I would imagnine you would have more of a chance of bumping into a ghost than a graveyard, and have seen nothing in any of those places.

Sure, if it would help you or someone else come to a greater understanding of people who don't believe like you do. Otherwise it wouldn't have any point nor would it prove anything. Nothing would happen. I'm always open to looking for paranormal evidence but I see nothing special about a graveyard in that respect. I've been in graveyards many times before with no weird things happening ever. And being out in the cold and getting bitten by mosquitoes isn't all that fun, so you'd have to make it worth my while somehow. Do I at least get a tent?

My only concern is getting permission and not doing something disrespectful to the memory of whomever is buried there, for the sake of the loved ones still living.

I have spent many nights in various cemeteries and never had any paranormal experiences in them.

I also spent 3 years working in an office that had been a military mortuary. The buildings in the area dated back to WW2 and one was claimed to have been haunted. I spent nights in each of them and never experienced anything unusual. I as the only one of 13 employees who would go into the former mortuary at night but I am skeptic as to why a "ghost" would haunt the building. I actually found the building very calming to do my reports in at night because I was always undisturbed as the others were afraid to be there after dark. I still find cemeteries comfortable places to go to relax and meditate, particularly at night because no one disturbs you. Where I live there is also a Celtic circle and a couple of graves out in the forest a few miles from my house. When I go there at night the only thing I concern myself with is being disturbed by wild pigs, not spirit activity. That I would welcome but in the past 15 years of going there, no luck.

I am a skeptic, not a critic/non-believer and have had experiences that I cannot explain or deny. Personal experience may be the only proof available at this time but a person should also remain open and objective. I have also addressed those who say they want the claimant to provide proof to find a reasonable answer of hot to obtain and provide the proof but it seems to be beyond their ability to do so. ( https://answersrip.com/question/index?qid=20100326014737AA8TmXf )I know what I experienced was real and I do not accept twisted possibilities just to give an answer. I would rather either find the truth or accept it as not being able to be explained at this time and thus be considered as paranormal. Even if one of the ones you challenge were to accept your offer, if they were to have no experience that would just give them a more arrogant attitude because they could use it to defend their narrow minded attitude of being a critic. Maybe if one of them can answer my question we will know what is expected of us and how to give them their proof. Between believers with experiences and true skeptics who look for possible evidence and information is the only place to really find answers because one has interpretations of experiences and the other is open enough to consider various views and possibilities to find the truth from an objective perspective.

Sure I would do this no probs. I have been into cemeteries at night many times and have even ensured I have been there for "witching hour". Nothing, zilch, zero.

I have a question for you. One of things I have come across in my research is that people claim that 'ghosts' or like appear at scenes where there are sudden deaths. Especially murders where their "souls are suddenly and violently ripped from their bodies". Is this correct?

If so: Where I grew up there was the classic "haunted house" scenario where there had been a triple murder. The place boarded up and derelict, remnants of old police tape, the works. We knew the people that lived next door and they claimed to hear and see some odd happenings in that house. So, being 15 or 16 we decided to investigate one night and stay over. So we broke in and with our sleeping bags in tow went and slept in the main room where there were still bloodstains on walls! Now if that is not a place where something paranormal would take place I don't know what is!! But guess what? Aside from the usual house settling noises, nothing, Not one damned thing. We did find some candles that had burned all the way down and empty crisps packets and candy bar wrappers etc, etc.

Now is this proof they don't exist? No. But it nothing to prove to me that they do.

So if I have a sleeping bag and take a nap in a cemetery day or night, something will happen? Not bad idea on a hot night sleeping on top of cool marble. Having two people is better still to confirm what is happening. Sleeping can be done in shifts.

What about if I was in New Orleans where all the bodies are above ground? Or a museum full of mummies? Sleeping triggers the paranormal or can we just stay awake all night?

How about camera set up? What speed is needed? Tripods must be use. Hand holding a camera at night with no lighting will not result in a good picture. Or are we suppose to just wake up and quickly get the shots with one camera? An automatic set up or video would be better. More than one camera will get different angles of the same event. Or do we need an infrared or an ultraviolet camera too?

I would think a lot of preparation is required to do this. Tell us what works best and link us up on some of your results.

At my age it's tough to get me out of my own bed, but if it would help settle this once and for all I'd do it.

Problem is, you wouldn't believe me anyway when nothing happened. You see, I have slept in a cemetery, many times in fact. Back in my younger days, I spent quite a few nights in my car, (a 71 AMC Javelin, best car I ever had). At first I tried parking under the NJ turnpike bridge by exit 15w. It had the solitude, but mosquitoes were murderous so I moved on. Going to a local cemetery I knew the gate was open and in I drove. Found a nice gravel spot behind a mausoleum and jumped in the back seat. There were a lot less mosquitoes and it was very quiet. That became my go to spot when I needed a temporary overnight hideout. I always tread lightly on the occupants and when I had the call of nature, answered it away from them, I hope.

On a side note, I remember it also as an excellent spot to bring a lady and a 6 pack after last call.

The thing I know for a fact about ghosts, if you don't believe in them they will not come.

I think anyone who has a fear of cemeteries believes in the paranormal. They wouldn't have to lay on a grave or take pictures. I think if they just walk through it at night they will get a chill...and not from the weather.

Sleep on a grave?

I already sort of beleive, Im inbetween. But sleeping on a Grave is a little too far. I think a Simple deal With a Older person would be best. For example a family Member that is Way older than them. They speak with the family memeber and Ask for a sign, Just a random Word that could be anything. They continue there Life like nothing happens, When that person dies They either wait arround for Somthing to happen to do with that Random word they chose. Or they go see a Medium, That can speak to the Dead Then if that Medium mentions the word with No way of knowing then That will have to be enough proof for them.

Or they could just get out a Ouija board call Out for spirits and demons, Threaten them, try to make contact for about half Hour to an Hour then wait and see. If they dont Beleive in it all it should not be a problem for them to call Evil spirits out asking to be Haunted.

That's how you falsify the paranormal, by sleeping on a grave?

So if someone sleeps on a grave and doesn't get chased off by a spirit, does that mean that ghosts don't exist and that all claims of the paranormal are disproven?

Science is about falsification. You've made a prediction: "If ghosts are real, sleeping on a grave will cause them to appear" if your prediction does not come true, then your hypothesis is falsified and you have to re-evaluate your position, or come up with a new way to falsify your position.

Since you can't possibly think of any test that would disprove your position upon failure to provide results, your position is, by definition, pseudoscience.

Only for money would I do something that pointless.

EDIT: I am 100% confident that the "soul" is an emergent property of the incalculable workings of a nervous system. It doesn't exist in any physical way any more than the internet exists. Take away the wires, modems and terminals and it's lights out. The fact that you need an unusually emotionally provocative setting to illustrate your supposed point is telling. Happy? All that said, I'd still do it, for the right amount.

yes

but I would need the permission of the family of the deceased first.

Sure, I'd do that. If you paid me, and got permission from the cemetery ahead of time. Otherwise it's completely pointless, because I KNOW nothing would happen. Personal experiences are not evidence to anyone but that person - stories are not data. If you're so sensitive, maybe you shouldn't be on the internet threatening people, because it's hard to take your last comment any other way.

This form of enquire has been tried over and over again. It has come up with nothing.
