I made a simple one by just drawing the letters and numbers on a piece of paper and using my pen as a planchette, but it didn't work at all. Does it really work? And if it does, what would I need to do to make it work?

It works through the ideomotor effect - you're moving it yourself, whether you realize it or not. You figured that out and weren't trying to move it. The more people put their hands on it, the more likely one is moving it for the rest or they all think it's someone else. Sorry, it's not going to work any more than that. It's just a superstition.

Here we go again. I hate ouija boards. They are not toys and not to be played with, ecspecially by someone who clearly doesn't know what they are doing. Ouija boards are portals, a doorway, and most ppl can't get them to work, thank God. But some do, some don't have a bad experience, but others do, and those experiences can be horrific. I knew some ppl who were tricked by an entity that presented itself as a lost and scared little boy who died in a house fire. It played on their symapathy and asked if it could stay with them. They told it yes, and all hell broke out in their home, literally. After just a few weeks, less than a month, they moved. This was their first home, they hadn't lived there even a year. Why take such stupid risks? Leave those things alone!!! U don't have to invite something to stay, just using the ouija board is an open invitation.

i never used to believe in ouija boards. I just assumed that someone was either moving it themselves either purposefully or subconsciously. However, i did have a weird thing happen with one of the online ouija boards. You move the cursor in circular motions and if the cursor gets 'stuck' at letters it is spelling a message. I asked out loud what the name of the spirit was that haunted us there in our home at the time. I did the circular movement and after a moment cursor stayed at D (as i kept moving the mouse). After about 5 secs, it started moving again. I was like, ok, guess it starts with D. I had never used one of those before so I did not know what to expect. Well, it did it for A and then N. And that was it. I laughed because Dan is my husband's name! I woke him up and told him, and he stared at me seriously and reminded me that his deceased father was named Dan, too.

I do not waste much time with such "gou pi" as that. I have tried one a few times with friends and watched a group use it. when the users are blindfolded, they receive no answers. When a Russian lady asks questions in her language, two Chinese girls cannot answer her. This toy is controlled by th users and knows only what they know. Them ideomotor effect causes the pointer to move, and users push it to spell answers they know.

Try using an upturned wine glass instead of a pen and get some friends to help you too.

Although of course you are only pushing it yourselves subconsciously.

Dear friend,

Greetings in peace, love and light. I had tried before the same thing just to see my own sub conscious mind yet it didn't work at all. Nevertheless, I have seen others playing and seems that their hands moving by itself yet I am not sure if it really does work.

In peace, love and light.

Ouija boards can actually be pretty dangerous. Although most of the time it is yourself moving it subconsciously, sometimes a real entity happens along. It's dangerous because you're willingly giving up control of your motor functions to an unknown entity, and could lead to possession or the like.

When I was a child I used one that somebody gave to me for Christmas. Well it said that I was not going to live past my 15th birthday. Well I am still here and I am now MUCH older. I suppose that it could work if one pursues it, but I tend to think that it is better to depend on God and not get into all of this, but that is only one person's opinion. I wish all the best for you.

haha, i cant believe people dont believe in this, yea it does work. ive seen it work too many times and know enough to stay away from those. my friend of mine played with that, soon after, she went deaf permanantly, had another guy friend say he was being followed after playing with it. when i was in mexico, ive seen a girl who supposedly got possessed from it, if you saw what i did, they way she was, her family being there, id believe it to be true. i played wit it a few times, and it scared the hell out of me, it told me and my friends things that nobody else knew about. then strange things started to happen.it was the last time we played with it. i heard the paper ones do work if you make it right, but you need to real deal. and for people who dont believe it works, i dare them to play it, and see what happens. they have websites that show whats happened in most cases with people who have played with them.

I haven't heard anything good about it so far. Don't be inviting unknown entities into your life because you have no power over them, they can mess up your mind. Put your curiosity to something more positive.
